1st band - 1964, The Druids, played Jr. High school lunchroom
2nd influence - seeing Beatles at Maple Leaf Gardens, 1964
2nd band - 1964-66, The Innkeepers, R&B, lead singer
3rd influence - seeing Rolling Stones at Maple Leaf Gardens, 1965
4th influence - Highway 61 revisited, 1965
- 1967, upright bass in school folky trio in Florida
- 1968, learned my 1st Dylan tune, Desolation Row, took all night to replay the vinyl record to get the lyrics..ruined the record.
5th influence - seeing Jimi Hendrix and Cream in Toronto, 1968
3rd band - 1971-72, Mickey Rat, heavy metal before heavy metal, Kiss before Kiss, Ottawa based theatrical craziness...
- 1973-76, Upright bassist in Folk duo Schwartz & Glass,
Schwartz was Eddy S. writer of P.Benetar's "Hit Me With Your Best Shot" played all originals of Eddy's...first forray into hearing 1st hand a great songwriter.
- 1977, Northern Tour with singer Shirley Eickhart...FUN!!
- 1977 1980, jobbing bassist in Bar Mitzvah Band!!!!
- 1980-1981, bassist in Kid Rainbow with another great
songwriter, Gary O'Connor
- 1982, rented a 4-track recorder and wrote my 1st tune
"Pink Valentino"
- 1983 toured Western Canada with Billy Durst, guitarist of"Thundermug" fame...14 day winter tour that turned into 9 1/2 weeks...HELL!!
- 1984-2004..leader/co-founder/singer/bassist of Canada's
ONLY tribute to ZZTOP..Tres Hombres...What a fun ride this was...toured Eastern Canada 47 times...Western Canada twice..5 years through the USA...4 tours to Scandinavia....WOW!!!!
- 1989, Released my 1st CD,,,,indi went bust!!! that's new!
- 2003, began writing on cheap spanish guitar..writing
constantly...
- 2005, began working on present project and just like a
baby it was born 9 months later in May 2006...
I named it "Goin' Home"....
